With an industry career spanning 27 years, Laurence has been involved at all levels of the NHS providing financial advice and organisational support to Staff and Senior Management of NHS Trusts and Arm’s Length Bodies.

Having provided personal help to many members of the NHS, from Facilities Staff to Trust Chief Executives and ex-executives at the highest level of the NHS Leadership Team he has an in-depth knowledge of the impact that pension changes, promotions and retirement, redundancy and re-deployment can have on the individual and the organisation.

His knowledge and experience of the impact that change brings and the essential need to manage the process and the development of people is being called upon by current and associate members of the NHS.

Since joining the financial services industry in 1997, Ben has developed his knowledge to include all aspects of financial planning.  However, the real breakthrough came in 2008 when he decided to specialise in the healthcare sector.  Since that point he has developed a unique place in the market advising national directorates down to senior individuals on the impact of the NHS pension scheme. He provided support to the SHA’s and PCT’s in helping their staff receive ‘best advice’ when the most recent re-structure took place.

Providing support to individuals has always been a key driver for Ben.  However, making this advice available to all was the logical next step, so in 2013 we developed and introduced ‘The Pension Support Service’.  This All Staff online pension portal has been taken up by numerous Hospital Trusts and ALB’s across the UK and has been a huge part in educating and supporting staff particularly on the impact of the new 2015 pension scheme around the country.

Ben plans to continue and expand the support and education of NHS pension schemes across the UK both at organisational and individual level.
